Meet Joe Ott

Akron Area Artist

Joe Ott grew up in Northeast Ohio and currently lives in West Akron. His passion for nature started at a young age. Inspired by his time in nature and hiking with his dog, River, he creates pieces that push creative boundaries of what is possible with the mediums he uses.

As a self-taught multimedia artist, Joe specials in wood, chainsaw, and metal sculptures. He also dabbles in watercolor, wood-burning, woodworking, and acrylic paint.

Joe has also created pieces for gardens, breweries in Ohio, museum art installations, and individual commissioned artwork for private buyers. He has two permanent sculptures on display in the gardens at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens
